Typhoon 9,10 & Overall Forty seven boats in nine divisions turned up for the final day of racing in the Hebe Haven Yacht Club’s ever-popular Typhoon Series. Under sultry skies, the committee boat ventured out a long way past Shelter Island on Saturday, the 23rd of August 2026 before dropping anchor and raising the AP. |

But, at 1305 five Cape 31s slipped away in 4 knots of easterly wind to a windward mark, as the other divisions prepared for two races, and possibly the abandoned Race 7. Last off were the PHS B & C divisions at 1330. It turned out to be a tactical race, as did Race 10, although the breeze had strengthened to nearly 7 knots by the end of racing. No chance of a re-sail. |
